Patient Information
Do you have questions about your dental insurance or billing information? We are here to make your denture experience an easy one.
Dental Insurance
Dental insurance can be tricky to understand as most insurance policy documents are many pages long. The coverage for each dental service also depends on your individual policy, which can vary greatly if your policy is individual or one provided by your employer. Luckily, we are here to make sense of insurance policies so you can focus on your care and receive the proper treatment, including support for dentures and understanding dentures what are they and how coverage applies. We may assist by submitting claims on your behalf, calling your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage limits, or providing you with all the paperwork so you can handle insurance claims with ease.
It would be helpful for you to know your insurance coverage information before coming in, as this will help speed along your treatment plans. Some of the questions we usually ask insurance providers include:
- What is covered?
- How much is covered?
- What is the coverage limit amount?
- Is there a deductible? (if so, how much?)
- Can I choose other procedures not listed on the plan but are in the same category of treatment?
- Please provide all the details regarding this specific treatment option (provide treatment option)
It is important to note that insurance carriers do not release information to third parties (including denture clinics) even if we have informed and signed consent. So, we will do our best to ensure you know your limits before any procedures and treatment plans are started. It is also important to note that regardless of the insurance coverage, we do require payment in full once the procedure is complete. We may provide financing options depending on your individual situation and any patient who is looking for assistance should speak with our clinic upon booking their next appointment.
The Importance of Dentures
One of the things we all have to do in life is take care of our health, which includes our oral health. As time goes on, there are circumstances that may cause our oral health to become impacted. This could happen due to age, lifestyle habits, or illness. Due to these circumstances, our oral health may have complications which result in the need for dentures. However, if you already have dentures, you understand how important it is to stay on top of them and keep them in great condition.
Clean Your Dentures Daily - It is important to clean your dentures daily and rinse them after every meal. Use a soft bristle toothbrush designed specifically for dentures. We recommend speaking with our team for guidance on appropriate denture tools and toothpaste to support proper dentures fitting over time.
Treat Your Dentures With Care - Accidents can happen when handling dentures, which is why careful handling is important whenever they are removed. One of the most common causes of damage is dropping them. Our clinic can assess and provide a denture fix when possible, although not all dentures are repairable. If your dentures break, please contact us for an assessment before purchasing a new set.
Remove Your Dentures Before Going to Sleep -
Whether you wear partial or complete dentures, it is important that you remove them before going to bed. By removing your dentures before bed, it gives your gums and tissue a chance to relax. Although, this is not recommended for all patients as leaving your dentures in could help prevent joint paint. If you do remove your dentures at night, you should place them in water or a denture solution. If placing your dentures in water, please ensure the water is room temperature as hot water can cause your dentures to warp.
